Curriculum Vitae

Dr. David Scott completed his orthopaedic residency in New York City at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute. He received additional fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the University of Utah, where he is now an adjunct assistant professor at the School of Medicine. He specializes in arthritis surgery with an emphasis on joint replacement. He has a special expertise in treating patients with painful and failed total joint replacements. Regular speaking engagements nationally and internationally on total joint replacement, as well as active research involvement, keep Dr. Scott updated on the latest techniques. He is published in several orthopaedic journals and texts. Dr. Scott was the first surgeon to use a new metal-on-metal hip replacement device in Spokane. His pioneering expertise continues to bring to the Orthopaedic Specialty Clinic of Spokane the latest in medical advances in orthopaedic medicine.
