Dr. Amaryllis Scott completed her orthopaedic residency in New York at the Hospital for Joint Diseases with additional fellowships in reconstructive shoulder surgery in New York and sports medicine at the University of Utah. She specializes in treating patients with all types of shoulder and knee problems from simple sprains to severe arthritis of the shoulder and complex ligament ruptures of the knee. Her surgical expertise includes arthroscopy and knee ligament reconstruction, as well as total shoulder replacement and osteochondral transplantation for cartilage defects of the knee. Recently, she has been published in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and an orthopaedic review textbook. As a former physician for the Alvin Ailey Dance Troupe in New York, Dr. Scott brings a wide variety of professional experiences to her practice of sports medicine and shoulder surgery.
